The Electrical Safety Foundation (ESF) announced today that Jennifer LeFevre will join the Foundation as its new executive director. Ms. LeFevre replaces Brett Brenner, who served for 18 years in the role.

Throughout this presentation, ESF will review the common causes of electrical fatalities in the workplace and what actions can be taken to prevent these fatal injuries. ESF will also review emerging electrical safety issues, such as lithium-ion batteries and electric vehicle charging.

Each year, electrical malfunctions account for over 32,00 home fires, 430 fatalities, 1,070 injuries, and $1.3 billion in direct property damage. Basic home electrical safety tips can prevent incidents like these.
