National Electrical Safety Month

Among ESFI's most prominent safety education initiatives is its annual sponsorship and public awareness campaign for National Electrical Safety Month each May. During this time, ESFI works with its corporate and non-profit partners to raise awareness of electrical safety issues through community outreach and media relations.

Each campaign focuses national attention on electrical dangers, and delivers core messaging and themes to help raise awareness and prevent electrical fires, injuries, and deaths in the home and the workplace. As a part of each annual campaign, ESFI produces a complimentary turnkey electrical safety toolkit for first responders, industry, and community stakeholders. This toolkit is available for download on the foundation's official website, and can be customized and used to suit your local community or organization's campaign activities.

This year's Buyer Beware Anti-Counterfeiting Campaign addresses consumer awareness of counterfeit electrical products that are threatening public safety and welfare. Click HERE to learn more about the Buyer Beware Anti-Counterfeiting Campaign.

In addition, ESFI has teamed up with The Home Depot to launch the Should I DIY? Home Safety Campaign, a new initiative dedicated to cautioning consumers about the dangers associated with do-it-yourself home electrical projects.
