Committee scope is to:

Serve as an interim governing body between meetings of the Foundation's governing body;

Implement all directives and policies established by the governing body; and

Make recommendations to the governing body on all matters pertaining to the advancement of the interests and welfare of the Foundation, volunteer members and Foundation staff.

Home Safety Committee

Associate Committee Members: Mary Kelly, Association of Home Appliance Manufacturers (AHAM); Betsy McDermeit, State Farm Insurance; Scott Gates, National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA).

Committee scope is to:

Develop and recommend policy to the Foundation's Board relating to an effective, consistent and continuing public relations program;

Conduct research and undertake pilot projects to determine target markets for continuing education programs;

Develop and/or review all print, audio and video media materials to ensure understandability and consistency with Foundation policies;

Research and recommend funding methods for programs and projects; and

Serve in a liaison capacity to other committees and/or subcommittees for matters relating to public relations and communications.

Workplace Safety Committee

Chair: Rich Widdowson, Schneider Electric

Committee scope is to:

Develop and recommend to the Foundation's Board programs and publications to pursue relevant to the promotion of electrical safety on the workplace;

Research and recommend funding methods for programs and projects; and

Assist Foundation staff in the execution of programs and projects.
